Seeds to Success: Cabbage Cultures

Cabbage is commonly grown across the globe, with over 150 countries growing some type of cultivar. From savoy to napa, cabbage is a diet staple for many cultures, with around 71 million tons being harvested each year. While there are many different ways to prepare cabbage, pickling seems to be a fan favorite—and everyone does this a little differently. During this lesson, students are invited to research and teach each other about a culturally specific way of preparing cabbage.
